It was just barely New Year’s, and now the first month has passed.
Next thing you’ll know that awful Heidi Montag will be getting her
210th surgery procedure, Kanye will have another outburst, and then it’ll
be Christmas!
But not after a wicked, wonderful many months, of course! ;)

I’m just in the midst of trying to update and upload all my pictures, which is proving
to be a very scary task. A rough estimate is that I still have around 3,000 pictures to
go through, and lord knows when I’m going to have the brainpower & patience to
do that.
It’s the one thing I do not fancy in the digital age – everything seems so
toss-worthy and yet .. not at the same time … so you spend all this time trying to
decide what is what.
This is like hoarding, but a more socially acceptable kind of hoarding. I shall
resist. The next time I go on my travels I will delete IMMEDIATELY.
Immediately, you hear? None of that ”Ooooh but maybe I can zzhhhngg this up real
good” nonsense. Delete delete delete. Delete The Unnecessary.

But my photography woes aside, it’s been a pretty awesome January so far.
Have had some lovely incidences and news that have made me smile a little more
than my usual share. I’m thinking all that patient waiting …. for several different
things in my life, has allowed for some serendipitous good things to bubble up
beautifully to the surface.
For now I’m just going to let things go with the flow :)

But some dear friends have had a spell of bad news too, which breaks my heart.
Not just bad news a la ‘Oh-I-got-so-many-pictures-to-clear’ (Cheh..), but really
serious problems, the ones which make you truly, truly worry as a friend. The
ones that make you look at your own life, and be grateful that it is comparatively
like a perfect pecan pie.
Gosh, this is turning out into a very bleh posting, probably because I am in bed
on this chilled and drizzly Sunday.
Watching movies.
Doing work at the same time.
Uploading pictures.
Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
Sorry this is so boring.
I have news.
I have good news.
But I will have to tell you later.
