Yesterday was one of those lovely days where
you have interesting conversations throughout.
Sometimes you realise that this is precisely why
you push your body despite fatigue or what have …
to fuel your brain and heart, to help you last longer
and happier!
(Okay, so the beer helps too. ….. okay, actually it helps
a lot.)
Had a nyonya lunch with a certain journo boss lady who is
cool enough to drink beer during lunch and think nothing of it.
Topics discussed: Twitter, politics, journalism, Twitter, er.. business
models, and err. Rosmah.
Sigh.
Later on in the evening I went to Vijen Tham’s birthday
dinner (about 3 days early), where we gorged ourselves
with Japanese at Crystal Crown PJ’s Sango Japanese
Restaurant. The special meat ball was so heavenly
I’m salivating just thinking about it again. Overall
the food was all juicy, the meats succulent, and even the
closing ice-cream dessert was lush as well.
Mike “Five Thirty” Ham was so excited about the food he
kept on ordering more stuff for me. Until. I. Could. Not.
Hack. It. Anymore. …….
until the ice-cream came lah, of course ;)

Happy Birthday dear pigeon and thamby!

<3 Pigeon. Still scary if he drags you out to drink though.
I still remember the SS3 7-Eleven sessions, where we would
drink chat till the morning and he would greet the newspaperman
delivering papers to the shop, like they were best friends.
He’d get a free papers lah, wtf -_-
Sango Topics:
Plastic surgery for men (!!eeek!!), Restaurant/Bar building costs
and strategies (I have entrepreneurs as friends, bless), wedding
invitations and prep work (Make that soon-to-be-married
friends too) , the relentless pursuits of a certain boy, and H1N1.
The best of all, though, were the discussions launched at
Sid’s (2), the one where Reza & Khim & Brian & I joined
my dear friend LeeAnn and her friends for some drinks
and chatting. Some chatting it turned out to be!

Topics of Discussion:
Visas, London, Italy, China, Peat fires, Pesta Songsang
ie arena untuk ‘berkepit’ (Ridonculous), Twitter (Yes, again),
Boggle, Pulau-pulau in Malaysia, Reality TV shows,
Speidi (Yuck), Models in Malaysia, Paperdolls, Boom Boom
Room, ROSMAH. Dan lain-lain-lain-lain lagi.
Yes, I think I must accept that somehow, conversations
about the Prime Minister’s wife have been increasing
of late, I think in proportion to her appearance
in the papers. I seriously think a certain somebody’s
strategists should seriously look into this matter.
I cannot emphasise the word ‘seriously’
enough. ‘It don’t look pretty’ is putting it
mildly.

THE epic topic last night though, and I think EPIC is the
correct word to use …. was the Angelina Jolie versus Jennifer
Aniston debate. I say DEBATE, because it morphed into one,
where people stood up to argue their points, Joliepitt geeks
fans like Khim & I used historical (ahem) information to back
our facts, Reza stood on a chair to call for order, there was Frank
the Sid’s staffer who enthusiastically joined in to stand
up for Aniston, lots of Booos, Oh Noooooos, Ah Eleehhhhhs
and table thumping to boot.
It was so hilarious I think we should have taped the bloody
thing. Who knew such a topic would spark such
fire and opinions, even from nonHollywood nonsense gossip
aficionados?
What a laugh, what a night.
xo

I would’ve stood up for Anniston if I was there! Hehehe.
Haha, really, Team Aniston? Ah well, then you would have partnered Frank, who sorely needed a debate team partner! :)
