Sometimes when you’ve done the girlie chit-chat

at your girlfriends’ homes, and the coffee shop …

and the bar … the cafe …. the beach ….

and the supermarket…

and other female-chat-inducing places …

and you think you’ve pretty much exhausted

all places you could have a chat with

your darling girls…

SS2 FOOT REFLEXOLOGY PARLORS

PROVE YOU WRONG.

The soup troupe endorses SS2 foot massage parlors

mainly because they are open till very late (like, even after midnight

right?) and we can converge there after a rough day at work.

Plus it’s easy to get too and we get to go to the cheap

cafes there after for more chatting and after-work

b*tching. We like the ones opposite Swensens,

there are a few. This time we went to Big Foot.

Even our Jay, who just flew in from Singapore, came to

join us and promptly sat next to me for her round

of foot and back rubbing.

You get to zone out to Chinese serials.

Personally though I think the massage therapists (mainly

from China) were being entertained by all of us,

chattering like mad and laughing.

For the record, we actually go to Thai Odysseys

(mostly in all the malls) for good relaxing massages

(that you fall asleep to).

SS2 is mainly for us to go together and cause

a mini ruckus in there, heh.

We usually go to Prince Cafe because we get to eat

nissin noodles and that awfully sinful peanutbutter

toast thing that Ann loves so much.

Take that Western countries. Cheapo massages at value

prices and then tea and snacks for a song.

That’s pretty swell for a Saturday night, isn’t it.

Our topics that night were actually quite serious,

do you realise girls?

We talked about:

Panic attacks

New career paths in life

Family’s health

Making time to think and decide what you want

Siblings ;)

We realised that our siblings are not the babies we remember

anymore.

We don’t really need to say “Ehh shhh, your sister’s here lah!”

as if she was 16 years old and could not hear us

cuss or talk about sex. LOL

Sorry, but I still think of my baby brother as

my baby brother.

25 years old?  Pah!
